De-Stigmatizing Disability: Tribulations & Triumphs of Disability at Yale

The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and 1stGenYale hosted a panel discussion on embracing disability as a central component to achieving diversity, equity, and inclusion at Yale. Students, faculty, and staff from the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing, as well as undergrads who were pre-med and/or who were majoring in the history of science, medicine, and public health or in education studies, were especially encouraged to attend. The event was intended to stimulate discussion and critical thinking about how members of the Yale community could create a more inclusive, accepting, and positive campus culture for everyone.
