During the 7th annual Career Networking Mixer, over 150 students and alums filled the Afro-American Cultural Center for an evening of great food and in-depth conversations that continued well after the event was supposed to end. Students from Yale College and the Graduate and Professional Schools met with alums in areas as diverse as STEM, consulting, and entertainment. In this informal setting, students asked questions about how to enter a particular field or how to balance a desire to pursue social justice work with the need to earn enough to support other family members. “Excellent” and “terrific” were just two of the words that alums and students kept using to describe the mixer – our first in-person one since 2019.
